Open Door Building Solutions Wins Two Synergy Awards
Open Door Building Solutions, a year-old cabinet distributor located in Doylestown, PA, won two Synergy Awards from the Home Builders Association of Bucks and Montgomery Counties and Chester & Delaware Counties (HBA) at its annual awards dinner held on April 25, 2013, at The Columbia Station in Phoenixville, PA. The Synergy Awards recognize excellence in innovation, design, and quality of craftsmanship for builders throughout the region. This is the second year the two HBA chapters have combined their event.
Open Door won for its website, which serves primarily as an information resource for its clients, rather than just an e-commerce site. In the Best Single Family Kitchen category, Open Door won for the remodel of an Ambler kitchen and laundry room, with the goal of fully integrating the look of both, using Haas cabinets and storage that was custom built for the family's needs. Renovation was done by Todd Knee Building, of Meadowbrook, PA.
Open Door Building Solutions is solely owned and operated by Emily B. Fischel, formerly of Allentown, PA. Before starting Open Door, Fischel was vice president of sales and marketing for a number of Delaware Valley residential and commercial builders. Open Door, which designs and distributes residential and commercial cabinets and accessories for Haas, Canyon Creek, Armstrong and Fabuwood Cabinets, plus EnGrain Countertops, is in the process of being certified as a women-owned (WBENC) business.
The Home Builders Association of Bucks and Montgomery Counties is a non-profit trade association representing the residential construction community throughout the Delaware Valley Region.
